Treatment Approach

Take some steps. Change your view.

Grounded in cognitive behavioral theory, my approach focuses on addressing the root causes of distress, including deeply-held beliefs and persistent behavioral patterns. My extensive training in Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioral Therapies (REBT/CBT) at the Albert Ellis Institute has greatly shaped my clinical perspective. My philosophy is to gently challenge patients to rethink attitudes, shift perspectives, and adapt behaviors, using goal-oriented, skills-based interventions tailored to individual needs.

Explore yourself.

For many, therapy also serves as a space for unstructured exploration—of identity, relationships, and finding meaning and stability in life transitions. I value this work and can help you uncover connections between your past and present, navigate difficult decisions, and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.

Forge a Path.

I incorporate humor, empathy, and interpersonal connection to create a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship. My natural warmth and approachable demeanor help foster a safe space for growth, while my directness and clarity allow me to challenge unhelpful patterns effectively and compassionately.

Much like a well-balanced diet, I believe therapy achieves the best outcomes through a combination of targeted work on unhelpful thoughts and behaviors, a comfortable space for exploration, and a strong alliance.
